Auction

This November, TEEN DAY is holding our very first fundraising auction. This will ensure we can continue to offer high quality educational experiences while keeping our costs affordable for our participants and providing our instructors with reasonable compensation and the necessary materials and equipment for our classes. And we need your help.

What can you do? There are four distinct ways you can help us continue to support teens:

1) Donate an item/service. First, and foremost, we need donations to include in our auction. These might include: products your company makes, gift cards/certificates, services you could offer (eg. massage, lessons/classes, yard work, cleaning, tutoring, editing, photography, web design, etc), handmade items (eg. soaps, knit/crochet/weaving, fine art, pottery, woodwork, etc), events/experiences (a day at a spa, tickets to a local concert/show, a stay at a local B&B or AirBnB, a guided nature walk, a spot in a class, etc), or anything else you can think of. If you’re not sure whether it would work for our auction, please ask! All donations must be received by October 17. To submit an item for the auction, please fill out this donation form.

2) Shop the auction. The auction will take place entirely online beginning at noon on Sunday, November 3, 2024, and closing at 9pm on Saturday, November 9, 2024. Items will be available for preview on our auction website in advance of bidding. Check back frequently, as we will be adding items as they come in! Be sure to bid on your favorites: from handmade pottery to construction work to party entertainment to a night out on the town! There’s something for everybody.

3) Help us spread the word. Make sure to tell everyone in your sphere about the auction! Alert your friends and family. Share our social media posts on Instagram or Facebook. Let people know about the specific item or items YOU donated to the auction, so they can come take a peek. We don’t want anyone to miss out!

4) Donate directly. If you would like to support TEEN DAY but do not want to participate in our auction, we gratefully accept direct donations (which are fully tax deductible). You can donate online or mail a check made out to “TEEN DAY Ithaca” to TEEN DAY, 120 Third St., Ithaca, NY 14850.
